The Greater Waco Health Care Alliance brings together the various entities in the health care arena – hospitals, physicians, research, insurance companies, manufacturers and education — to advance one of the largest sectors of the Greater Waco economy.

The group's first event was Oct. 31 with Richard Seline, president of New Economy Strategies, as the guest speaker.

Health care is one of the Chamber's six target industries and encompasses hospitals and clinics, medical equipment wholesalers, pharmaceuticals, nursing and residential care facilities and ambulatory services.

As one of the fastest growing sectors in Greater Waco, the Chamber wants to keep the related businesses connected through this alliance, which is chaired by Dr. Roland Goertz.
