Growing Greater Waco’s economy will be most successful through a balanced approach including business retention, entrepreneurial support and business recruitment.

Whether it's promoting entrepreneurial success and strengthening regional economic development partnerships, tapping into Greater Waco's "hidden workforce" or retaining more Young Professionals in the area, this goal is broad-based.

Objective 1
Support growth and expansion of existing businesses.

The Chamber's Business Retention and Expansion program is designed to meet the needs of our local industry. The Chamber also is implementing a comprehensive marketing effort to identify itself as the central command center for resolving business needs.

Objective 2
Effectively target and serve the specific needs of a diverse group of local entrepreneurs.

The Chamber's Sunrise Small Business Breakfasts and Technology Business Briefings are among the forums available to help small businesses grow.

Objective 3
Attract new cmpanies from expanded target sectors.

Five target industries were identified in the plan and are the focus of development in the Chamber's economic development strategy.
